joined by the shell of a juvenile loggerhead sea turtle that had succumbed to cold-stunning in a previous stranding season &#8230; prepared for the 9:30 am broadcast.<\/p>\n<p style=\"TEXT-ALIGN: justify\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.turtlejournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/11-29-6-480.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-8369 alignnone\" title=\"11-29-6 480\" src=\"http:\/\/www.turtlejournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/11-29-6-480.jpg\" alt=\"11-29-6 480\" width=\"480\" height=\"325\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.turtlejournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/11-29-6-480.jpg 480w, https:\/\/www.turtlejournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/11-29-6-480-300x203.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 480px) 100vw, 480px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"TEXT-ALIGN: center\"><strong><em>Don Lewis Rescues Kemp&#8217;s Ridley from Duck Harbor<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"TEXT-ALIGN: justify\">By\u00c2\u00a02 pm on Monday, December 6th, 174 cold-stunned sea turtles had been recovered from Cape beaches, and four more sea turtles\u00c2\u00a0had been\u00c2\u00a0sighted, but had not been recovered by rescuers.\u00c2\u00a0 Of these 174 turtles, 160 were identified as Kemp&#8217;s ridleys, 13 were green sea turtles and one was a hybrid, possibly a ridley-hawksbill.\u00c2\u00a0 One hundred twenty-five turtles were\u00c2\u00a0found alive\u00c2\u00a0on the beach, and 45 had already succumbed by the time rescuers reached them.\u00c2\u00a0 Another 12 turtles died after being recovered alive.\u00c2\u00a0 One hundred twenty-two turtles\u00c2\u00a0were\u00c2\u00a0transported to the New England Aquarium for emergency medical treatment.<\/p>\n<p style=\"TEXT-ALIGN: justify\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.turtlejournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/kempsridley-840.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-8371 alignnone\" title=\"kempsridley 480\" src=\"http:\/\/www.turtlejournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/kempsridley-480.jpg\" alt=\"kempsridley 480\" width=\"480\" height=\"320\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.turtlejournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/kempsridley-480.jpg 480w, https:\/\/www.turtlejournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/kempsridley-480-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 480px) 100vw, 480px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"TEXT-ALIGN: center\"><strong><em>Cold-Stunned Kemp&#8217;s Ridley Sea Turtle in Triage<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"TEXT-ALIGN: justify\">Early morning on the 7th, another five Kemp&#8217;s ridleys were recovered from Eastham beaches;
