justify\">Well, I guess it depends on your point of view.\u00c2\u00a0 From our viewpoint, these spotted salamanders are really cool critters.\u00c2\u00a0 So secretive in these parts that you rarely find them except during their annual spring norturnal mating orgy\u00c2\u00a0in the absolute worst of weather conditions, the improbabilty of encountering spotted salamanders definitely enhances the value of the moment.\u00c2\u00a0 With the series of snapshots in this posting, we present a portrait of a spotted salamander.\u00c2\u00a0 Note that each picture is hyperlinked to a larger sized image handsome specimen.\u00c2\u00a0 Check out the four digits on the front limbs and five on the back.\u00c2\u00a0 Also, note the two parallel rows of yellow spots along the length of the cutey as this\u00c2\u00a0critter mugs for the camera.\u00c2\u00a0 Every couple of minutes, the salamander slurps its tongue in and out faster than the photographer can click the camera.<\/p>\n<p center\"><strong><em>Spotted Salamander Profile<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"TEXT-ALIGN: justify\">Augmenting the exquisite yellow dots painted in a parallel\u00c2\u00a0series along its dorsal surface, these salamanders have constellations of smaller blue-gray spots\u00c2\u00a0along\u00c2\u00a0their sides, under\u00c2\u00a0their chins and on\u00c2\u00a0their ventral surfaces.<\/p>\n<p
