The first herons arrived this year on March 21st; see <a href=\"http:\/\/www.turtlejournal.com\/?p=13836\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Great Blue Heron Returns to SouthCoast Rookery<\/strong><\/a>. \u00c2\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The Turtle Journal team observed courting behavior at the rookery on March 24th; see <a href=\"http:\/\/www.turtlejournal.com\/?p=13954\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Love on a Treetop: Courting Great Blue Herons<\/strong><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Ospreys arrived on March 23rd. \u00c2\u00a0They promptly evicted a heron pair from the prime nesting tree, and then aggressively began to harass \u00c2\u00a0roosting heron pairs; see <a href=\"http:\/\/www.turtlejournal.com\/?p=13896\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Osprey Arrives at SouthCoast Rookery<\/strong><\/a>. \u00c2\u00a0While we normally monitor three or four nesting pairs of great blue herons at this site, only a single pair remains in the rookery this year &#8230;
